Employees working at Nichinan Seiki

Hello, This Nichinan Seiki.

For this blog, we conducted in-house interviews with employees working in the manufacturing department of the assembly plant, the processing department of the main factory, and the accounting department of the head office. We asked them to talk about their unique approach to work, their goals, and their impressions of the company.

“Technology improvement is my reward”
Yoshiaki Komatsu, Mechanical Metal Working Division

I joined Nichinan Seiki in my twenties and have been working there for 20 years. I don’t remember why I joined the company because it was too long ago, but I think it was a job magazine (laughs). Until then, I was working as a mechanic in a car-related job, but I decided to join the company because I wanted to work in the manufacturing industry.

Looking back over the past 20 years, I feel that we have become able to manufacture relatively high-precision machines. Also, since I stayed too long, I got used to the atmosphere of the company, but I find it easy to work because I like working quietly by myself. I usually work to process metal based on drawings, but I feel that it is difficult to make things with high precision, although it is natural to make things that meet the customer’s requirements. Still, I feel that the technical improvement is rewarding for me.

“Skill up every day”
Hikaru Arai, Manufacturing Division

We assemble the parts from scratch based on the design paper received from the customer, and deliver the product as a single machine to the customer. The reason I originally joined the company was when I saw a job posting at Hello Work. I thought the assembly work would be fun, so I visited the company once and thought it would suit me, so I joined the company.

The atmosphere in the company is open and easy to talk to, and it’s easy to ask questions about things you don’t understand. People who like to assemble something, or people who like such work because there is a lot of detailed work, may be suitable for this type of job.

We don’t have many jobs that are the same, and new jobs come in one after another. I think that being able to experience something you have never done before will lead to rewarding work, and every day will be a chance to improve your skills and grow.

“A good work environment that teaches politely”
Yuumi Nonomura, Accounting Department

It’s been a while since I joined the company, but I think the atmosphere in the company is at home. I wouldn’t call them friends, but they seem to be on good terms with each other. When my child turned one year old, I wanted to work, and when I found a job offer here, I joined the company. I thought it would be difficult to get hired if my child was small, but I was very grateful that the president told me from the interview that it was easy for the company to take time off.

Since it’s an accounting job, I usually pass documents, deliver things, exchange a lot of extensions, and have a lot of conversations. Many of the people in the field are also doing clerical work, so I have the impression that there is a lot of conversation overall. Some of the employees are mood makers, and some are less wordy. However, I felt that it was a good work environment because everyone taught me carefully.

Thank you for reading until the end. Please look forward to the next blog.
