38 years built on trust with customers

This term marks our 38th term, but so far we have never had a difficult time. We have experienced the collapse of the bubble economy, the Lehman shock, and the coronavirus, but there are companies that are profitable even in such circumstances. Rather than making excuses that the numbers are bad because of the social situation, we have been trying to create a structure that will not lower sales no matter what happens, and a structure that will be profitable.

We believe that all of this is due to the trust of our customers. When we manufacture custom-made products, some kind of trouble comes along, but I try to consult with the customer promptly so as not to make it look like trouble, respond quickly, and make the customer happy. It may have been good.

I value the idea that gaining the trust of customers is the most important thing in my work. But trust does not come easily. We believe that without technology, there is no trust, so we believe that it is necessary to continue to provide technology and quality that will please our customers over many years.

For employee growth

Our company has the spirit of “Let’s do it with everyone’s participation”, so we also invest in employee training. Due to the corona crisis, we have not been able to conduct employee training for the past two years, but once a year at the end of the year, all employees gather to reflect on the current term and their goals for the next term for 20 minutes each. We are creating an opportunity. By stating a goal, I believe that employees’ consciousness will change so that they can make schedules and plans properly to carry out what they say.

When participating in exhibitions to acquire technical skills, it is important to have a theme within yourself. Some do. When someone goes to an exhibition, educational training, seminar, etc., I think it is important that the person who participates submits materials to employees as much as possible and teaches interested people as a teacher. . You can also improve your skills by teaching and passing on what you have learned to others.

In the spirit of full participation

In terms of human resources that I would like to see join Nichinan Seiki in the future, I would like to see people who have their own ideas and can always propose their opinions to their superiors. I always tell each and every employee, “I want you to think of yourself as the president and a manager when you go about your work.” Instead of trying to flatter your superiors, I would like you to propose your own opinions, even if they are angry with you.

The strength of our company is the spirit of participation by all employees, and we all work together. Even if you face a problem, you never have to deal with it alone. Having someone with experience and skills to deal with it quickly allows us to make our customers happy and at the same time allow our employees to grow. I believe that Nichinan Seiki has the opportunity to create a win-win situation for both parties.
